ZO Motors, Weichai New Energy ally on NEV production, R&D, global sales

Shanghai (ZXZC)- On January 16, ZO Motors Holdings Limited ("ZO Motors"), an innovative new energy commercial vehicle maker, announced a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with Weichai New Energy Commercial Vehicle Co. Ltd. ("Weichai New Energy"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Weichai Holding Group Co., Ltd., encompassing areas such as the production and manufacturing of new energy vehicles, joint product development, and global sales.

The collaboration focuses on new energy products, utilizing Weichai New Energy's third-generation pure electric platform. This forms the basis for jointly developing left-hand and right-hand drive products tailored to meet regional market demands, with the intention of marketing them globally outside of China.

ZO Motors, originating from Japan, is an intelligent new energy commercial vehicle brand and a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong-listed company, ZO Future Group. The company is primarily engaged in the R&D, manufacturing, and sales of intelligent new energy commercial vehicles.

According to available information, ZO Motors' focus in the commercial vehicle sector is primarily directed towards international markets. The company anticipates the gradual entry of its commercial vehicles into various markets, including Japan, the USA, South America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East in the near future.

"ZO Motors has initiated a global presence, strategically positioning itself in markets such as the United States, Japan, China, Southeast Asia, and has established corresponding regional headquarters," stated Joost de Vries, Global CEO of ZO Motors.
