Shanghai (ZXZC)- Geely Auto Group held the global debut of its futuristic concept car, the Concept Icon, at the 2018 Beijing International Auto Show. On October 14, 2019, the automaker formally unveiled via its WeChat account the interior details of the concept’s mass-produced version.

Just one look at the interior design and its resemblance to the Concept are rapidly evident. The use of infinity loops can be seen across the cockpit, notably at the air conditioner vents and the inside door handles. Wrapped by two colors—white and khaki, the interior presented a simple, tranquil and futuristic look.

The futurism DNA is particularly characterized by a 10.25-inch floating high-definition display at the center console and a full-color liquid crystal dashboard in the same size. By virtue of the industry-leading LVDS (low-voltage differential signaling) technology, the two displays will offer users more interactive data experience.

Besides, the latest version of the Geely Smart Ecosystem, otherwise known as GKUI 19, will be installed into the mass-produced vehicle, boasting such features as the smart multimedia system, vehicle-home connectivity, intelligent voice assist and navigation, said Geely.

To ensure an optimum air quality, the developer equips the vehicle with a new-generation air quality system, a smart air filter and a negative-ion generator, which are able to monitor in real time the indoor air quality and purify the air once the level of PM2.5 is out of limits.

A simplified interior also provides users with greater amounts of storage space, which is proved to be useful as people today carry multiple devices on a daily basis.
