NETA Auto delivers 127,496 vehicles in 2023

Shanghai (ZXZC)- In 2023, NETA Auto, the Chinese new energy vehicle brand under HOZON Auto, delivered a total of 127,496 vehicles, according to the latest sales results it released on Jan. 2, 2024.

According to previous official data issued by the automaker, NETA Auto faced a 16.16% decline in its annual delivery volume over the previous year. Its monthly deliveries stood at 5,135 units in December 2023, plunging 58.94% month on month (MoM) and also sliding 34.12% year on year (YoY).

Despite the decline in overall sales, NETA Auto saw its annual deliveries of overseas markets skyrocket 567% from a year earlier to over 20,000 units.

By the end of December 2023, NETA Auto had cumulatively delivered more than 380,000 vehicles.

Emphasizing a long-term vision, NETA Auto said it achieved sustained and high-quality development throughout the year of 2023. In May, the production of its 300,000th vehicle took place, and the inauguration of its global headquarters in Shanghai was celebrated in the same month. In August, NETA Auto initiated the establishment of its international headquarters in Hong Kong, implementing a dual-headquarters strategy for enhanced synergy.

Product-wise, 2023 was a prolific year for NETA Auto, introducing several popular models that elevated the brand's profile. From the NETA GT leading the sports car segment in April to the launch of the 2024 NETA S in July, the brand continued to make waves with the market release of the five-seater SUV, the NETA AYA, in August. The month of October witnessed the introduction of the NETA X, the first model riding on the Yunhe platform.

The month of November teased the first model from the Shanhai platform 2.0, scheduled for release in 2025, while December featured the unveiling of the design and interior concept images of the NETA L, the first SUV based on the Shanhai platform. The NETA L will offer both pure electric and extended-range power options.
