JAC A60 gets a new Grille on the Guangzhou Auto Show in China
More Bling for the Masses!, and spooky girls. The JAC Refine A60 debuted today on the Guangzhou Auto Show, featuring a brand new grille with extra shine. JAC says this is the final-final production version, and that it will be launched on the Chinese car market in Q1 2016. We, will see.
The old grille.
The JAC Refine A60 has been in development since early 2014, changing its name from A6 to A60, back to A6, and now back to A60 again. The new grille is a big surprise, only last month we saw shiploads of spy shots of the at-the-time A6 with the old grille.
The bumper section is new too, with wuzzy LED units on the sides.
The Refine A60 will be available with two four-cylinder petrol engines: a 1.5 turbo with 174hp and 251nm, and a 2.0 turbo with 190hp and 280nm. Both engines will be mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. Size: 4995/1865/1503, wheelbase is 2915.
It will be positioned above the JAC Heyue sedan. Price will start around 170.000 yuan and end around 240.000 yuan. It will compete with cars such as the Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi GA5, Chery Arrizo 7, the Geely Emgrand EC8, and the Changan Raeton.
The black logo is new. It is blue at the front. Earlier on we saw test cars with either a blue JAC logo or the five-pointed JAC star.
The interior with a blue logo on the wheel, very cozy floor mats, loads of white leather, some wood, analogue dials, and a just-big-enough-for-2015 screen for the infotainment system.
A whole flock of spooky girls. Run!
