Geely Holding scores 28% YoY jump in Nov. 2023 auto sales

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Zhejiang Geely Holding Group ("Geely Holding") announced on Tuesday that its monthly automobile sales reached around 293,200 units in November this year, jumping 28% from the previous year.

Of the vehicles the group sold last month, 103,900 units were new energy vehicles (NEVs), representing a 44% year-on-year spike and accounting for 35.44% of the group's total sales.

For the first 11 months of 2023, Geely Holding saw its cumulative auto sales grow 21% over a year earlier to 2.509 million units.

Breaking down the sales figures by specific business units, Geely Auto Group, which presides over Geely, ZEEKR, Lynk & Co, and Livan Auto brands, sold 200,079 vehicles in November, reflecting a year-on-year leap of 38% and a month-on-month increase of 11%. To be specific, the Nov. sales volume of Geely-branded vehicles came in at 153,845 units (+42% YoY), including 13,770 units from the Galaxy NEV-dedicated range. The premium NEV brand ZEEKR recorded a sales volume of 13,104 units, which grew 19% over the year-ago period. Lynk & Co boasted a year-on-year surge of 66% in its Nov. sales, which amounted to 30,055 units. However, Livan Auto, the brand co-built with Lifan Technology, saw its monthly sales plunge 58% from a year earlier to 3,075 units.

In addition, Volvo Cars sold 63,682 vehicles worldwide last month, indicating an 8% rise over a year ago and achieving a year-on-year sales growth for the 15th month in a row. Its Jan.-Nov. global sales reached 632,701 units.

Notably, Volvo Cars recorded a China sales volume of 15,178 units in November.

What's more, Proton Auto sold 141,900 vehicles through the Jan.-Nov. period of 2023, 12,296 units of which were recorded last month.
