The very first Spy Shots of the all-new Brilliance BS4 testing in China. Like so many other Chinese automakers Brilliance is moving away from the traditional sedan shape and towards a coupe-fastback design. The new Brilliance BS4 will be launched on the Chinese car market in the second half of the year.

The current Brilliance BS4, also known under its Chinese name ‘Junjie’. Designed by Pininfarina and launched all the way back in 2007, and thus in urgent need of retirement. Price starts at 83.800 yuan and ends at 118.800 yuan. Engines: 118hp 1.6, 136hp 1.8 and a 170hp 1.8 turbo.

The latter engine will continue but the other two will be replaced by a 1.5 and 1.5 turbo respectively. All engines will mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. Price range will remain about the same.

Oh what is she sporty with her speedy fastback design. Chinese car buyers always wanted nothing but the three-box sedan but the love is now fading away fast, and automakers are listening.
