As of November 18, NIO has successfully added 798 new battery swap stations this year alone, underscoring the company's commitment to expanding its charging infrastructure rapidly. Looking ahead, the pace of station deployment will intensify to hasten the completion of a thousand stations for this year.
Cumulative battery swaps completed by NIO users have so far exceeded 32 million, with an average of 60,000 swaps per day, indicating that there is a NIO vehicle fully charged departing from a NIO’s power swap station every 1.44 seconds.
NIO's strategic layout has encompassed a total of 646 highway battery swap stations nationwide, forming a robust network that connects six north-south and four east-west expressways across nine major city clusters. This network, already in operation, will continue to expand and densify, aiming to complete a battery-swapping network that contains 9 north-south and 9 east-west expressways across 19 city clusters by 2025.
Beyond providing enhanced charging convenience, NIO's expansive battery swap network serves as a crucial support system for battery upgrades. To date, the company has so far completed over 130,000 battery upgrade services.
As of November 18, NIO's nationwide energy replenishment infrastructures have contained 2,103 battery swap stations, including 646 stations along expressways, as well as 3,402 charging stations with 19,824 charging piles, and over 960,000 third-party charging piles.
