Shanghai (ZXZC)- On November 17th, at the Auto Guangzhou 2023, Chinese new energy vehicle maker NETA Auto introduced its cutting-edge Shanhai Platform 2.0, showcasing advancements across platform, architecture, comfort, intelligence, and core components. The automaker said this platform boasts six major advantages: high safety, intelligence, scalability, individuality, accessibility, and environmental friendliness.

In a significant reveal at the auto show, NETA Auto presented the first product based on the Shanhai Platform 2.0, unveiling its body silhouette and anticipating a market launch in 2025.

Speaking at the event, NETA Auto's Vice President, Jiang Feng, expressed, "This year has been one of high-quality development for NETA Auto. Today, at the Auto Guangzhou, we unveil the epitome of advanced industry technology — the Shanhai Platform 2.0. The core technologies of the Shanhai Platform 2.0 will be progressively implemented and iterated upon from 2024 to 2025."

The Shanhai Platform 2.0, revealed during this event, employs the Haozhi skateboard chassis, enabling a platform upgrade that not only provides users with a 3-second 0-100 km/h acceleration and a top speed of 200 km/h, but also achieves a combined CLTC range of over 1,000 km and a 500 km range in just 15 minutes of charging.

The unveiling of NETA Auto's Haozhi skateboard chassis at this event marks its first public appearance. Noteworthy is that the Haozhi skateboard chassis, one of the five key platforms under the Haozhi technology umbrella, stands as NETA Auto's fully self-developed skateboard chassis platform. Aligned with the trends in new energy vehicle battery technology and the high integration and lightweight design of electric vehicle platforms, it stands out for its ability to decouple development between the upper and lower vehicle bodies and between software and hardware. This approach shortens the product development cycle by 30%, facilitating rapid iteration and evolution of vehicles while concurrently reducing research and production costs and expanding product possibilities.

The Haozhi skateboard chassis boasts a global-oriented architecture, incorporating integrated casting of front and rear bodies along with the fusion of an energy compartment. This innovative technique is adaptable to various vehicle types, including sedans, SUVs, MPVs, wagons, and trucks. Additionally, the platform's energy compartment utilizes a compressed aluminum frame, resulting in a 14% increase in battery placement space. Through integrated casting, it reduces over 100 components and eliminates over 1,700 welding points. Furthermore, the platform adopts a new type of long-life, high-rate charge-discharge battery cells, providing a range of 500 to 1,000 km. It supports dual-voltage platforms of 400V and 800V and is compatible with various drive system layouts, including pure electric, extended range, and two-wheel/four-wheel drive configurations.

The Shanhai Platform 2.0 takes a step further by upgrading the all-new EEI (electronic/electrical information) architecture, enabling integrated intelligence for car, energy, road, and cloud, driving explosive growth in car software and continuous user experience upgrades.

Enhanced by the central supercomputer and regional control in the Haozhi system, the new EEI architecture provides the vehicle with a "brain" level of processing power, said the automaker. It achieves deep integration of five control domains: cabin, intelligent driving, body, power, and chassis, along with ten core systems such as intelligent cabin, intelligent driving, power control, and OTA updates. With over 1,000 service-oriented architecture interfaces, users have the flexibility to customize various functions like windows, air conditioning, charging, and suspension.

The comfort of the platform is further enhanced by the application of the ISC shock absorber, air suspension, zero-gravity seats, and the NETA SOUND audio system.

NETA Auto's fully self-developed NETA SOUND audio system, the industry's first end-to-end intelligent audio solution, combines a high-power hardware platform and independent tuning platform, said the company. With a maximum output power of 2,160W, it offers a 720° 3D immersive surround sound sky effect and a multi-scenario sound ecology platform, providing users with a more immersive in-car audio experience.

Built on the foundation of general large model technology, NETA's vehicle brain, powered by AI large models, supports various functions such as natural voice recognition, cognitive abilities, in-car interactions, fault diagnosis, and maintenance. This turns the vehicle into a "personal assistant" capable of truly understanding passenger intentions.

Incorporating AI large models, the intelligent cabin system features the introduction of the Qualcomm 8255 cahin-used chip, combined with the industry's leading in-car entertainment ecosystem, allowing users to perform various operations with just a gesture, such as playing or exiting media. In terms of intelligent driving, the platform introduces high-power orinX domain control, top-mounted LiDAR, and a self-developed BEV+Transformer perception algorithm, enabling the car to understand complex environmental information like a human and translate what it sees into actions. Currently undergoing internal testing, the NETA Urban Navigation function is set to bring a comfortable and safe driving experience to users in 2024 with the new architecture.

Benefiting from the mass production of the Haozhi component 2.0 technology, the Shanhai Platform 2.0 has also prepared for core component upgrades and will be applied to more NETA Auto vehicle models.

Taking the example of the Haozhi electric drive, the application of the innovative intelligent vector frequency conversion algorithm, distinctive wheel hub design, and slot oil-cooling direct injection technology have achieved industry-leading levels in vehicle NVH, comprehensive working efficiency, and maximum vehicle range. The Haozhi range extender, applying intelligent fuel-saving control algorithms and a compact integrated design, achieves four-wheel drive with minimal volume. With the support of Haozhi thermal control, the working temperature of the Shanhai Platform 2.0 can drop to as low as minus 25°C, supporting 4C fast charging for convenient heating even in winter. Additionally, the platform adopts an intelligent energy prediction algorithm, with 18 working modes covering all usage scenarios.
