This is the new Lifan Lotto mini MPV. The Lotto, or Letu in Chinese, will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and launch on the China car market just before the end of the year. Price will start around 40.000 yuan and end around 60.000 yuan. The Lotto is the first mini MPV for the Lifan brand.

Dash looks good enough for the money. Central instrument pod very 1990. Large touch screen very 2014. Color scheme a bit messy to my eyes, with gray, black, darker black, alu detailing, and red.

Power comes from a 1.2 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 84hp and 108nm or from a 1.5 liter four-cylinder petrol with 109hp and 145nm. Both engines will be mated to a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic. Size: 4350/1730/1800, wheelbase is 2720.

Many more Chinese car buyers living in the cities fall for the practicality of a mini MPV, choosing one over the standard sedan. The MPV’s seat seven plus a dog, don’t use much fuel, and are small enough to park anywhere. The fact that they are not very fast bothers very few since speed doesn’t matter much in the endless traffic jams. Recently we have seen a lot of new entries into the market: Dongfeng Xiaokang Fengguang, Beijing Auto Weiwang M20, and the Changan Ounuo.

Tires are tiny, looking impossibly small, swimming in their arches. Bigger wheels would make the Lotto look a lot better. Rear lights and window spoiler are kinda hip.
