“I am very glad to see Mr. Ramsey serve as Vice President Network Management and Development of Porsche China. His 20-year management experience in luxury car industry is undoubtedly a precious treasure for Porsche to develop Chinese dealership networks,” said Dr. Jens Puttfarcken, CEO of Porsche China.

To satisfy the fast-growing Chinese market demands, Michael Ramsey will be fully responsible for strengthening and expanding Porsche’s dealership network in China and exploring retail business models. He will lead several dealer support programs, oversee the dealership facility building and standards, and be accountable for the transition to digital retail mode.

Moreover, Mr. Ramsey will also be responsible for the operation of the Porsche Training Academy China in a bid to improve dealers’ expertise and service quality.

Mr. Ramsey began his career with Porsche in 2010. Immediately prior to joining Porsche China, he had served as director of sales programs and services at Porsche Cars North America. In his former capacity, he focused on the management of sales, digital marketing, customer service, business development and innovation.

Porsche said car deliveries in China for the first half of the year jumped 28% over a year earlier to 42,608 units, making China the biggest single market of the luxury brand whose Jan.-Jun. sales aggregated 133,484 units worldwide.
