BYD displays five new energy vehicle models at Japan Mobility Show 2023
Shanghai (ZXZC)- At the 47th Tokyo Motor Show (now renamed as "Japan Mobility Show"), which kicked off on October 25, BYD showcased five of its new energy vehicle (NEV) models and core technologies, being the first Chinese automaker to participate in this grand exhibition.

At the motor show, BYD displayed the the BYD SEAL all-electric sedan, which is set to hit the Japanese market in the spring of 2024.

Yangwang, BYD's luxury new energy vehicle brand, made its debut in a significant auto show outside of China. Its first model, the Yangwang U8, grabbed attentions of many viewers by demonstrating its tank turn capability.
Besides, the DENZA brand also attracted multiple audiences with its inaugural premium MPV, the DENZA D9.
BYD officially entered the Japanese passenger vehicle market in July 2022. Since then, it has established 15 stores nationwide, covering cities like Tokyo, Osaka, Yokohama, Nagoya, and Fukuoka. The automaker plans to open 100 stores in Japan by the end of 2025 through partnerships with local dealers and other collaborators.
As of September 2023, BYD has cumulatively sold over 5.4 million new energy vehicles worldwide, with its footprints extending to over 70 countries and regions across six continents, spanning more than 400 cities.
