Spy Shots: Geely Emgrand EC9 sedan seen testing in China
New spy shot of the Geely Emgrand EC9 testing in China, with the new Emgrand logo on the spectacular grille. The Emgrand EC9 is the production version of the Geely Emgrand KC concept that debuted on the April 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. The EC9 will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in December and launch on the China car market just before the end of the year.
Nicely finished interior, but the dials are only analogue and screen is on the small side.
The latest reports in Chinese automotive media indicate the vehicle will be called Emgrand GC9 instead of Emgrand EC9, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. The Emgrand EC9 is the largest car ever developed by Geely, moving the brand into a new territory.
There will be three petrol engines available: a 2.4 liter four-cylinder with 160hp and 210nm, a 1.8 turbo four-cylinder with 180hp and 285nm, and a 3.5 liter V6 with 270hp and 345nm. All will be mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox
