The new Chevrolet Aveo hatchback and sedan have been launched on the ever hungry Chinese car market, giving GM a fresh entry in the vitally important compact car segment. Price for the new Chevrolet Aveo starts at 73.900 yuan and ends at 109.900 yuan.

Interestingly, there is no price difference anymore between the hatchback and sedan, all trim levels cost exactly the same for each body style. The Aveo is available with two four-cylinder petrol engines: a 1.4 with 103hp and 131nm, and a 1.6 with 121hp and 155nm, both mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.

The Aveo hatchback will be marketed to sporty-young-hip people and thus gets a funky colored dashboard and stripy seats.

The Aveo sedan will be marketed at lazy-old-boring people and thus gets a gray dashboard and stripe-less seats.
