All-new BYD Qin EV with NEDC-rated range of 421km said to go on sale in Q3
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Chinese automaker BYD released a set of photos about the all-new BYD Qin EV, which is likely to go on sale in the third quarter of the year.
Retaining the BYD's signature “Dragon Face” design language, the all-new Qin EV adopts a large hexagonal black-mesh grille which is seamlessly flanked by slender headlights. Four muscle lines on the bonnet create a beauty of symmetry. Inside the headlight, there are five LED spheres that shine in blue lights, offering the vehicle a sense of spirituality.
It is reported that the LED headlight will come as standard for the entire lineup of the new EV.
The dynamic design for the rear end is in tune with that of the front face. A silvery trim stretches across the tailgate and pierces into the taillight cluster, which is embedded with dynamic "water-flow" indicators.
The interior of the all-new Qin EV still conveys a beauty of simplicity. Meanwhile, a futuristic essence is highlighted by an adaptive rotatable floating display powered by the DiLink intelligent in-car system.
Powered by an electric motor that pumps out 100kW and a ternary-lithium battery pack with an energy density of 160Wh/g, the vehicle can achieve a NEDC-rated range up to 421km with an energy consumption of 12.9kWh per 100km. (Photo source: BYD's WeChat account)
