China’s lithium-ion battery supplier REPT inaugurates European subsidiary
Shanghai (ZXZC)- On September 4, 2023, the European subsidiary of Rept Battero Energy Co., Ltd. ("REPT"), a Chinese company engaged in the R&D, production and sales of lithium-ion batteries, officially commenced operations in Munich, Germany, marking a pivotal milestone in the company's global expansion strategy.

During the inauguration of the European subsidiary, REPT unveiled its comprehensive roadmap towards carbon neutrality. The company aims to achieve carbon neutrality for operations by 2026 through a multi-faceted approach. This approach includes the adoption of energy-efficient technologies, the integration of clean energy sources, improvements in energy efficiency, waste recycling and reuse, and the effective control of carbon emissions during production processes. By 2035, REPT will further extend its commitment to carbon neutrality across the whole value chain by collaborating with supply chain partners and customers. This collaboration encompasses promoting low-carbon production techniques and materials with suppliers, and advancing carbon reduction and capture technologies in cooperation with customers.
Through these initiatives, REPT will ensure the sustainable development of its entire battery industry chain, from mineral resource extraction and bulk material production to battery material manufacturing and system integration. The company is actively driving the development of its digital battery passport platform and contributing to global carbon reduction objectives on a broader scale.
The formal launch of the European subsidiary signifies REPT's entry into a new phase of global expansion and an elevation of its global influence within the field of new energy. REPT said it has been proactive about the development of the European electrification market, spanning various sectors such as automobiles, marine, industrial vehicles, and construction machinery.
