Neta begins car deliveries in HK
Neta has started delivering the Neta X SUV in Hong Kong and plans to add multiple sales outlets in the city in the fourth quarter.
Neta Auto, a brand of Hozon Auto, has started delivering vehicles in Hong Kong and plans to open more local sales outlets.
The electric vehicle (EV) maker held a delivery ceremony for the Neta X SUV (sport utility vehicle) in Hong Kong on September 22, delivering more than 40 vehicles to the first owners, according to a statement yesterday.
Neta opened its first store in Hong Kong in May and plans to add two more local sales channels in October.
In the fourth quarter, Neta will add multiple sales outlets in Hong Kong, strengthening the brand's position in the city's EV market, it said.
The Neta X is a compact SUV, and the model available in the Chinese mainland measures 4,619 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,628 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm.
The car was originally released on October 18, 2023. On August 5 this year, Neta launched an updated version of the Neta X in the Chinese mainland, offering four variants with starting prices of RMB 89,800 ($12,740), RMB 99,800, RMB 114,800 and RMB 124,800 respectively.
Neta currently has more than 450,000 users worldwide, covering more than 30 countries and regions, the EV maker said in the statement yesterday.
Neta's parent company Hozon was founded in October 2014 and in April 2017 was approved by China's National Development and Reform Commission, the country's economic planner, for vehicle production qualifications.
The company operates the Neta brand and sells models in China including the Neta X, Neta GT, Neta S, Neta Aya, and Neta L, targeting a price range of RMB 100,000 to RMB 200,000 yuan.
Neta delivered 11,005 vehicles in August, down 9.07 percent year-on-year and essentially flat from 11,015 in August, according to figures it announced in early September.
So far this year, Neta has delivered 75,790 vehicles, down 10.37 percent from a year earlier.
At the end of August, Neta had delivered 451,335 vehicles since its inception, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
