The BYD SEAL is crafted on the BYD e-platform 3.0 and holds the distinction of being the world's first production vehicle featuring CTB battery integration within its chassis, according to the automaker's introduction. Its range extends up to 520 kilometers based on the WLTC standard, ensuring a substantial driving distance on a single charge.

The design philosophy of the BYD SEAL, known as "Oceanic Aesthetics," builds upon the essence of the Ocean X concept car, exhibiting its sporty DNA with a low-slung body stance. The SEAL's 650km All-Wheel-Drive Performance version accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in a remarkable 3.8 seconds, thanks to the inclusion of the iTAC Intelligent Torque Control system. This not only enhances safety but also significantly elevates the vehicle's handling characteristics, promising an exhilarating driving experience for users.

Tyler Li, General Manager of BYD Brazil, stated, "The BYD SEAL is a cutting-edge vehicle, incorporating innovative solutions that redefine the era, combining safety, technology, performance, and comfort." Alexandre Baldy, Special Advisor to BYD Brazil, added, "As a successful example of using technology to reduce environmental impact in the automotive industry, BYD also commits to bringing technological innovation to Brazil. BYD plans to establish a research and technology center in Salvador, with the aim of turning the region into Brazil's Silicon Valley."

BYD not only has brought a range of pure electric and hybrid models to the Brazilian market, but also will continue to expand its sales and service network. It is expected that BYD will establish 100 stores in Brazil by the end of this year.

Prior to this, BYD, in collaboration with the Bahia State Government of Brazil, announced on July 4 its plans to establish operations at three factories in the Camaçari complex, located 50 kilometers from Salvador, Bahia. This venture comes with an investment exceeding R$3 billion.

The Camaçari complex will comprise three distinct manufacturing units. One will specialize in the production of chassis for electric buses and trucks, while the second will focus on plug-in hybrid electric and all-electric vehicles, boasting an estimated initial annual capacity of 150,000 units. The third unit, devoted to processing lithium and iron phosphate, will cater to the global market, leveraging the existing port infrastructure in the area.
