According to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, the registrations of new energy passenger vehicles in 31 European countries reached 1.419 million units in the first half of this year, marking a remarkable year-on-year growth of 26.8% and representing a market penetration rate of 21.5%. Europe is swiftly advancing towards electrification, creating a robust demand for high-performance power batteries, especially those capable of rapid energy replenishment. While Europe has been addressing range anxiety by promoting the construction of charging infrastructure and reducing the distances between charging stations, the issue of fast energy replenishment, particularly how to achieve it, remains a pressing challenge.

The Shenxing battery has achieved an unprecedented "charge for 10 minutes, drive 800 kilometers" ultra-fast charging speed through continuous innovation in materials, material systems, and system architecture, said CATL. It promises to significantly alleviate the concerns of European consumers over charging efficiency.

Additionally, through structural innovations, intelligent algorithms, and other means, the Shenxing battery boasts a range exceeding 700 kilometers, even in -10°C cold weather, it can charge to 80% of its capacity in just 30 minutes. With improved electrolyte and high-security coating membranes, it provides a double layer of safety. Intelligent algorithms manage the overall temperature field, ensuring the highest safety standards while comprehensively enhancing the performance of lithium iron phosphate batteries.

CATL has made substantial investments in Europe, establishing R&D centers, launching two production facilities, and building a mature distribution network. With its advanced manufacturing capabilities, the Shenxing battery is set to rapidly penetrate the European market, enabling European consumers to experience the benefits of this groundbreaking technology in their new energy vehicles.

Regarding sustainability, CATL unveiled its "Zero Carbon" strategy in April this year, committing to achieving carbon neutrality for core operations by 2025 and carbon neutrality across its whole value chain by 2035. Currently, CATL has operated two wholly-owned and one joint-venture "Zero Carbon Factories."
