Changan launches ‘Qiyuan’ new energy vehicle brand
Beijing (ZXZC)- On August 27, Changan Automobile officially launched the "Qiyuan" brand new energy vehicle (NEV) brand, completing the automaker's NEV layout alongside the existing Deepal and AVATR brands.

Changan Automobile's chairman, Zhu Huarong, revealed that by 2030, the company plans to invest a cumulative 200 billion yuan and establish a technology innovation team with over 10,000 new members to achieve a total sales volume of 5 million vehicles, 4 million units of which are set for Changan’s wholly-owned brands. Among these, the Qiyuan brand is targeted to contribute 1.5 million units in sales.

According to Changan Automobile, Qiyuan represents the company's response to the digital age and will cater to diverse market segments with Deepal and AVATR.
Qiyuan will introduce a new product lineup focused on intelligent experience, electrification technology, and design aesthetics. This includes the A-series, Q-series, and the E0 series. By 2025, Qiyuan plans to launch 10 new smart vehicles globally, while Deepal will introduce 6 models, and AVATR will present 4, totaling over 20 new offerings. In 2023, Qiyuan will unveil the A05, A06, A07, and Q05 models.
In terms of intelligent experience, Qiyuan will leverage the SDA Smart Digital Architecture as a foundational technology, constructing a six-layer intelligent framework to enhance comprehensive environmental awareness, global service capabilities, and multi-dimensional self-evolution.
Zhu Huarong further highlighted that Qiyuan will vigorously advance software defined vehicles, establishing a novel automotive strategy that is "hardware pluggable, scenario programmable, ecosystem adaptable, and system self-evolving," aiming to reshape the relationship between people, vehicles, and life itself.
