Shanghai (ZXZC)- XPeng's Senior Director of Powertrain, Gu Jie, recently took to social media to share insights about the upcoming refresh of the G9 model. The G9 all-electric mid-to-large SUV is constructed upon the X-EEA 3.0 architecture, marking the domestic debut of an 800V SiC ultra-fast charging platform.

The interior of the G9 reflects meticulous craftsmanship with vertical dual-density high-polymer filling for the seats, offering both soft comfort and strong support. Both driver and front passenger seats come equipped with features like electric thigh support, heating, massage, ventilation, and rhythmic functions. The rear seats are likened to "luxury sofas," with a maximum cushion thickness of 270 mm, a 10-degree recline option for the backrest, a 500 mm seat length, and an elephant-trunk-like electric thigh support that extends by an additional 50 mm, resulting in a generous legroom space of 1,016 mm.

When it comes to power, the G9 is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. The four-wheel-drive variant is equipped with a silicon carbide (SiC) three-in-one electric drive system, offering a maximum power of 405 kW and a peak torque of 717 N·m. On the other hand, the rear-wheel drive model pumps out a maximum power of 230 kW and peak torque of 430 Nm.

In terms of range, the 570G and 570E versions are powered by a 78.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, providing a range of 570 km under CLTC conditions. The 702E trim, however, boasts a 98 kWh ternary lithium battery and offers a CLTC range of 702 km. Meanwhile, the 650E, 650X Performance Edition, and 650X Anniversary Edition share the same 98 kWh ternary lithium battery, with a CLTC range of 650 km.

According to publicly available data, XPeng delivered a total of 11,008 new vehicles in July 2023, reflecting a month-over-month growth of 28%. This marks the sixth consecutive month of positive year-on-year growth.
