Geely Galaxy L6 presale kicks off, staring at 128,000 yuan
Shanghai (ZXZC)- At this year's Chengdu Motor Show, Geely started presale of the Galaxy L6, the second production model under its new energy vehicle (NEV) range Galaxy. Coming with four trim levels, the model is priced between 128,000 yuan and 158,000 yuan in presale.

The Galaxy L6 draws design cues from Galaxy's first model, the L7, presenting a somewhat flattened version with an array of design continuities. Elements like its headlights and dual belt lines carry the L7's distinctive traits.

Notably, the side profile of the L6 showcases an appealing posture with a sense of agility. Positioned as a compact sedan, it measures 4,720mm in length, 1,870mm in width, 1,480mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,752mm.

The rear end continues the familiar theme of through-type taillights while adding a touch of creativity unique to the Galaxy L6. The lower section features symmetric diffusers, and the exhaust adopts a discreet design that enhances visual cleanliness.
Overall, the Galaxy L6's exterior leans towards a sporty and youthful direction.

The interior of the Galaxy L6 still adopts the vertically placed central display seen in the L7, albeit with the omission of the passenger-side screen, a move that contributes to cost efficiency. The 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel seamlessly integrates with the 13.2-inch central touchscreen, forming an interactive duo. Physical buttons are scarce, with the exception of those found on the steering wheel.
This design approach results in a clean and minimalist cabin. However, it also presents automakers with significant challenges in terms of cockpit intelligence and voice-controlled capabilities.

Under the hood, the Galaxy L6 houses the next-gen "NordThor Hybrid 8848" system. Comprising a 1.5T hybrid-exclusive engine, dual electric motors (P1 and P2), and a 3-speed DHT Pro transmission, the powertrain delivers a combined top power of 287kW and peak torque of 535 N·m.
With a manufacturer-stated 0-100km/h acceleration time of 6.5 seconds and a fuel consumption of 4.55L/100km at the minimum state of charge, the Galaxy L6 offers two battery-power-only range options: 60km and 125km. The former achieves a combined range of 1,320km (WLTC cycle), while the latter extends to 1,370km.
