A grandfather from the great city of Zhengzhou in Henan Province in China built an electric powered mini Lamborghini for his grandson. He worked more than six months on the vehicle and spend a total of 5000 yuan or 825 USD, which is still a lot of money in most parts of the country.

Design seems to be inspired by the Lamborghini Reventon. The cabin is big enough to fit one adult and one child. Juice comes from five electric-bicycle batteries. The maker claims a top speed of 60 kilometer per hour and a range of 60 kilometers, so the kid can ride top speed for an hour, which should be enough to go to school.

Checking his new ride. Lambo-doors show grandpa is a skilled engineer, making those doors work is not easy, not on any scale. Large wing at the back for down force.

Dashboard and controls. Engine comes from an electric bicycle. Chassis is entirely home-made. Lamborghini badge sits proudly on the flat-bottomed steering wheel.

Grandpa even designed a cover for when it rains! License plate reads 8888, eight being a lucky number in China, and this kid is a lucky one indeed.
