Shanghai (ZXZC)- Fangchengbao (translated to “Formula Leopard”), BYD's specialized and personalized brand, officially offered the first glimpse of its inaugural model, the Bao 5 (“Leopard 5”) with a set of exterior images.

The new vehicle embodies the brand's fresh design language known as "Leopard Power Aesthetics," which encompasses three central design domains: "Rugged Power Beauty," "Future Technology Beauty," and "Infinite Expansion Beauty."

Under the banner of "Rugged Power Beauty," the Bao 5 features a distinctive design element termed the "Super Lock," symbolizing the vehicle's embodiment of powerful aesthetics, visible throughout the car's appearance.

At the front, the vehicle boasts a large-scale grille that seamlessly connects with the expansive headlight clusters on either side. The central emblem, showcasing the brand's new logo, takes center stage.

The side profile exudes an elongated and robust appearance, utilizing a profusion of horizontal lines to create a sense of sleekness. Overall, the design of the Bao 5 radiates a rugged yet sophisticated style.

In terms of the "Infinite Expansion Beauty", the Bao 5 embraces its inherent off-road DNA with features like a split-type design, a fully covered spare tire cover, and an all-encompassing off-road package. These attributes not only reflect the vehicle's off-road prowess but also instigate a desire for personalization, catering to individual tastes.

Notably, the Bao 5 is the first model on BYD's new DMO super hybrid off-road platform. It is anticipated to be equipped with the DiSus-P intelligent hydraulic vehicle body control system, and its price is expected to hover around 400,000 yuan. The vehicle is set to take the stage at the brand and technology launch event scheduled for August 16, with deliveries projected to commence within this year.

Since its official introduction on June 9, the Fangchengbao brand has made impressive strides in terms of publicity and product exposure. On July 4, the brand announced its debut production vehicle is named as the "Bao 5." On July 14, the brand revealed its distinctive logo.
