BYD Song L SUV included catalogue issued by MIIT
Shanghai (ZXZC)- The BYD Song L, BYD's B-segment SUV unveiled at the Auto Shanghai 2023, has been included in a catalogue recently issued by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology ("MIIT"), indicating that the model is ready for mass production.

The patent images from the MIIT showcase the model’s striking design through the lens of the "Pioneering Dragon Aesthetics." Sporting the distinctive "Dragon Teeth" grille design, the vehicle is equipped with a matrix LED headlamp assembly, accentuated by an embedded light strip traversing the upper edge of the headlamps.
The BYD Song L measure 4,840mm in length, 1,950mm in width, and 1,560mm in height, with a wheelbase spanning 2,930mm. Noteworthy features include a panoramic sunroof, frameless windows, concealed door handles, and a range of two-wheel designs. All this is enveloped within a total curb weight of 2,385kg.

The model is available in both single and dual motor configurations. Underneath the hood, the Song L AWD version is powered by dual motors with peak power ratings reaching 150kW and 230kW, respectively. The single-motor variant boasts a peak power of 230kW and a rated output power of 70kW.
The Song L EV is built on the e-platform 3.0, bolstered by CTB battery integration technology, the intelligent electric four-wheel drive system, the DiSus intelligent body control system, etc. BYD plans to showcase this model at the upcoming Chengdu Motor Show, with a slated market release within this year.
