BYD TANG EV hits Costa Rican market
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Chinese leading new energy vehicle (NEV) maker BYD saw its flagship all-electric SUV, the TANG EV, officially go on sale in Costa Rica on Aug. 3, according to a post on BYD's WeChat account focusing on its overseas moves.
The TANG EV, the epitome of luxury in the realm of 7-seater full-electric SUVs, boasts an opulent interior featuring premium Nappa leather seats. It featuers BYD's largest adaptive rotating screen (15.6 inches). Powered by the BYD DiLink intelligent connectivity system, users can effortlessly command various vehicle functions, indulging in a seamless smart driving experience, said BYD. The cockpit is illuminated by a choice of 31 ambient colors, creating a personalized atmosphere.

In addition, the powerhouse under the hood delivers a remarkable 510hp, achieving an impressive 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 4.4 seconds. The vehicle’s combined CLTC-rated range reaches 635 km. It is equipped with an 108.8 kWh Blade Battery.

A decade ago, Cori Motors embarked on a journey towards an electrified future with BYD, dedicated to promoting new energy electric vehicles in the Costa Rican market. Since 2020, BYD has consistently held the top position in Costa Rica's new energy vehicle market. As of Jul. 10, 2023, BYD has achieved a local sales volume of 670 units in the first half of the year."
