According to the announcement, the reason for the recall of the 234 Model S and Model X vehicles is that during the production or after-sales maintenance process, the front seat belts and pretensioners were disassembled and may not have been properly reconnected to the anchor points according to design specifications. In the event of a collision, the seat belts may not function as intended, posing a safety hazard.

Tesla (Beijing) Co., Ltd. will conduct a free inspection of the front seat belts and pretensioner anchor points for the recalled vehicles. If any discrepancies are found, the seat belts will be reinstalled in accordance with the specifications, and if necessary, the seat belt assemblies will be replaced free of charge to eliminate any safety hazards.

As for the other 37 Model S and Model X vehicles to be recalled, the reason for the recall is that some of the front-facing cameras were not installed with the proper pitch angle, leading to the malfunctioning of certain active safety features without providing corresponding warnings to the driver, posing a safety risk.

To address this issue, Tesla (Beijing) Co., Ltd. will conduct free inspections of the pitch angle of the front-facing cameras for the recalled vehicles and make necessary adjustments to meet the design requirements and eliminate any safety hazards.
