Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory delivers 64,285 vehicles in July 2023
Beijing (ZXZC)- Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory delivered 64,285 electric vehicles in the seventh month of this year, according to information released by the China Passenger Car Association on August 3.
Compared to the same month from 2022, Tesla scored a 128% year-on-year soar in monthly deliveries. However, the figure also indicated a 31.38% decline from the previous month where the US electric vehicle maker delivered an impressive 93,680 vehicles. Notably, July marked the automaker’s lowest delivery volume in this year so far.
In the first seven months of this year, the cumulative delivery volume of Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory reached 540,824 vehicles, shooting up 67.45% from a year ago.

On July 12, the automaker’s Shanghai Gigafactory celebrated a significant milestone as the one millionth Model Y rolled off the production line. Earlier this year, the factory started exporting the Model Y vehicles to countries such as Canada and Mexico. Despite Tesla establishing additional factories since the inception of the Shanghai Gigafactory, this Chinese facility continues to be a symbol of efficiency and productivity, currently boasting the highest production output for the company.
