Spy Shots: facelifted Geely Englon SC5-RV is Ready for the China var market
New spy shots of the facelifted Geely Englon SC5-RV, it will debut on the Beijing Auto Show in April and it will be launched on the China car market in May. The facelift includes a new grille, new bumpers, new fog lights, and an updated interior. The Geely Englon SC5-RV is a cheap hatchback aimed at young first-car buyers in second and third tier cities.
The current Geely Englon SC5-RV, it was not well-liked in China and sales have always been slow. Price starts at 52.300 yuan and ends at 56.300 yuan. Lone engine is a 1.5 with 94hp and 128nm, mated to a 5-speed manual.
The engine will continue in the facelifted SC5-RV but a 5-speed automatic will be added to the line-up. The automatic will greatly help sales, as many first car buyers, especially women, don’t want a manual. Due to the addition of the manual the top of the price range will go up to some 60.000 yuan.
Bumper is new but light units remain the same.
