Spotted in China: Brabus SL55 K8
A very beautiful and very black Brabus SL55 K8 super car, Spotted in China on the Beijing Tuning Street in the east of the capital. The super fast SL was completely painted in black, including the Mercedes-Benz logo, the mirrors, and the giant 6-spoke alloys.
Red brake pads for contrast!, brilliantly done. The Brabus SL55 K8 is a high-performance super car based on the mundane 2002-2008 R230 Mercedes-Benz SL55. Brabus improved the Benz by adding an extra body kit, lowering the suspension, fitting racy tires, and tuning up the engine. The supercharged 5.5 liter V8 went up from the standard 470hp and 700nm to a manic 530hp and 775nm, good for a 300km/h top speed and a 0-100 in 4.3 seconds. Black Brabus speed!
The R230 was never exported to China so meeting one in country is a very rare pleasure. A Brabus tuned R230 is extremely rare, and this example is indeed the first one we see on Chinese ground. It is also only the second R230 we have on this site, after a red-pink example in central Beijing.
