good things that VW will introduce these 2 update EV in the Chinese market. The congested and polluted chinese megacities need elelctric citycar with advanced battery and powertrain. Another good news is the introduction in the China market of the Smart electric drive already available in Beijing and Shanghai for private purchaser at a price around 230.000 RMB ( pity there is no discount because imported EV).
Now there is no more excuse for domestic brand to continue to propose obsolete EV with old battery technology, outdated electric motors motors and heavy weight ( Kaili, Zinoro ) .
I think that is arrived the moment for domestic automakers to work on nice city cars ( only available nice model is now Roewe e50)
