MG5 Turbo hits the 2013 Guangzhou Auto Show & the China car market
The sorta speedy MG5 Turbo, also known as MG5 1.5T, debuted today at the 2013 Guangzhou Auto Show, and it was launched on the China car market at the same time. Price starts at 119.700 yuan and ends at 140.700 yuan. The MG5 Turbo differs from its naturally aspirated sister by a red stripe in the grille and a chrome bar in the bumper.
The interior comes with seats that look a little bit more sporty and a few MG5 Turbo badges. Power comes from a turbocharged 1.5 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 129hp 135hp and 210nm, mated to a new 6-speed automatic gearbox. If 135 horses doesn’t sound like a lot, remember that the non-turbo version has only 109hp. These Chinese MG cars are no racers yet…
Shape of the engine cover could be called sexual attractive, for women folk.
Small wing on the window delivers just enough sporty.
