The owner of the significant model said, "I have been struggling to find an electric truck that can serve as a daily commute vehicle in Seoul while also allowing me to venture out of the city on weekends and undertake frequent medium to long-distance drives. The T4K, with its impressive range, meets my everyday transportation needs. Moreover, I enjoy canoeing, and the spacious cargo area of the T4K enables easy loading of canoeing equipment. The V2L function, which particularly attracts me, makes camping more convenient by providing power for various electrical appliances, catering to all sorts of driving scenarios."
The T4K is jointly developed by BYD and GS Global, tailored specifically for the South Korean market. It aims to deliver practicality, comfort, and safety in a 1-ton-class truck. In terms of the battery, the T4K is equipped with an 82 kWh Blade Battery, the largest capacity among all electric 1-ton trucks in South Korea. This BYD-developed battery has been certified by the Ministry of Environment of South Korea, offering a range of up to 246 km at room temperature and 209 km in low-temperature conditions. The motor delivers a powerful performance with an output power of 140 kW. Additionally, the T4K features a V2L (vehicle-to-load) external power supply function, allowing for the simultaneous operation of multiple electrical appliances and catering to diverse installation and usage requirements.
The head of GS Global's Mobility Division stated, "The T4K is a remarkable product tailored exclusively for the South Korean market, incorporating various convenient and safety features. With the first delivery, we are entering the formal delivery phase and actively preparing to ensure our customers can quickly access the product."
Furthermore, consumers can visit T4K exhibition halls in Guro in Seoul, Osan in Gyeonggi Province, and Gyeongnam in Busan, to learn more about the vehicle. Within this year, 14 sales outlets and 40 after-sales service points will be established in South Korea.
