As a leading mobility service platform in Brazil, 99 is committed to offering diversified and integrated mobility services, providing users with intelligent and convenient travel experiences. In April 2022, 99 took the lead in establishing the "Brazil Sustainable Mobility Alliance" with the goal of surpassing 1,000 registered new energy vehicles on the platform by the end of 2023, creating Brazil's largest electric vehicle fleet. Currently, the alliance consists of 12 companies from various sectors, including manufacturing and finance.

BYD joined the Alliance in July 2022, offering DiDi's first custom-made ride-hailing vehicle, the D1, to drivers on the 99 platform. Through green technology, they aim to support the achievement of sustainable goals.

Under the partnership, 300 BYD D1s will be made available for rental by 99's partner drivers from July to October of this year. To encourage adoption, a portion of the rental fee will be subsidized by the platform, making the initiative more accessible.

Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD and CEO of BYD Americas, expressed, "This partnership with 99 aims to promote more sustainability and technology to local urban mobility, and we want to expand this alliance to have more electric cars on the streets of São Paulo. We are confident that this will be another success case for BYD worldwide."
