China’s SinoHytec teams up with TAM-EUROPE D.O.O. on fuel cell vehicle market development
Shanghai (ZXZC)- On June 17th, Chinese hydrogen fuel cell engine system developer SinoHytec and TAM-EUROPE D.O.O. ("TAM"), a European commercial vehicle company, signed a strategic cooperation agreement, aiming to jointly promote the development of the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle market, with a focus on Europe, starting with the application scenario of airport shuttle buses.
SinoHytec, as a national-level high-tech enterprise dedicated to both R&D and industrialization of hydrogen energy and hydrogen fuel cells in China, has already established an internationally advanced and domestically leading product system. Apart from its strong presence in the domestic market, the company has also been expanding internationally in areas such as R&D, production, and forward-looking cooperation. Its products have been installed onto some Foton vehicles, which were exported to Australia in a small batch for demonstration operations. It has established joint R&D centers and manufacturing bases in partnership with big names like Toyota. Furthermore, SinoHytec is actively engaging in exploratory discussions and exchanges on cutting-edge technologies and business models with leading international institutions and organizations.
Headquartered in Slovenia, TAM was founded in 1947. It is a commercial vehicle R&D and manufacturing company specializing in high-end airport shuttle buses, new energy vehicles, intercity buses, and high-end coaches. TAM has a complete production process layout, including vehicle welding, painting, and final assembly, and all its models have obtained EU certification. It enjoys a high reputation on the European continent with a market share exceeding 40%, as well as in markets such as the Middle East, the Commonwealth of Independent States, North Africa, East Asia, and Southeast Asia.
The collaboration between SinoHytec and TAM will focus on the development of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles for the European market. Leveraging TAM's influence in the commercial vehicle market and SinoHytec's technical advantages in hydrogen energy and fuel cell power systems, the partnership aims to cultivate and develop the hydrogen energy and fuel cell demand market in Europe through pilot operations such as airport shuttle buses. What’s more, they plan to expand into other regional markets globally.
