Chery has released the first official photos of the new Chery Tiggo 5 SUV, in brown Let’s hope the quality of the car is better than these Photoshops. Marketing, it takes time to learn. The new Tiggo 5 will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in late November and it will be launched on the China car market around the same time.

The Tiggo 5 is a new SUV for the Chery brand, it will be positioned above the ever-continuing Chery Tiggo 3. Lone engine at launch will be a 132hp 2.0 petrol, mated to a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed CVT. Price of the 2.0 will start around 120.000 yuan and end around 150.000 yuan. Size: 4506/1841/1740, wheelbase is 2610.

In 2014 a 1.6 turbo and a 1.4 turbo will be added to the line-up. The 1.6 turbo will get 155hp and 210nm, so it will slot above the 2.0 in the lineup. The specs of the 1.4 turbo are yet unknown.
