Spy Shots: Lifan 820 is Naked in China
New spy shots showing the new Lifan 820 sedan completely naked in China. The new flagship sedan will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and it will be launched on the China car market in early 2014. The Lifan 820 will be positioned above the Lifan 720 and will enter into a new market segment for the Lifan brand.
At launch the Lifan 820 will only be available with a 1.8 liter four cylinder with about 130hp. Later on a 160hp 2.0 will join the line. The 1.8 will be mated to a 5-speed manual. Price will start around 80.000 yuan and ends around 100.000 yuan, making this 820 the most expensive Lifan ever.
Lifan doesn’t go for the sporty dials, as all other local Chinese automakers do. No big screen, as all other local Chinese automakers have. Lots of buttons all over the center console, and that is finally in line with the rest of the pack. Materials seem good enough for the money.
Arguably the best looking Lifan so far. Design inspired by a lot of cars, especially BMW 3 and all-Audi, but it ins’t a clone like most other Lifan branded cars.
