Spy Shots: Beijing Auto SC20 seven-seater testing in China
New spy shots of the seven-seat variant of the Beijing Auto SC20 MPV. The Beijing Auto SC20 will debut on the Guangzhou Show in November and it will be launched on the China car market just before the end of this year. The latest reports in Chinese automotive media indicate the 5-seater will be called ‘Beijing Auto S20’ and the 7-seater ‘Beijing Auto S30’.
Power will come from a 1.5 liter four-cylinder with 105hp, good for a 160km/h top speed. Fuel consumption is 7.2 liter per 100km. Price will start around 80.000 yuan.
The SC20 will be build in the city of Chongqing by ‘Beiqi Yinxiang Automobile’, a new joint venture between Beijing Auto (Beiqi) and the Yinxiang Motorcycle Group from Chongqing. The joint venture also makes the new Beijing Auto Weiwang M20 mini-MPV that will be launched on the Chinese auto market later this month.
Very neat interior for such a cheap car. Materials look nice and everything seems to fit together in a proper way. Sporty dials are a must in China these days, no matter how slow the vehicle is. Large screen. Lot of buttons. Manual gearbox.
