The Ultium platform will endow the ELECTRA E5 with a multi-layered battery protection mechanism, a battery management system that can be connected wirelessly, as well as an intelligent battery health monitoring system in contact with both the vehicle and cloud, said the automaker.

From the styling perspective, the ELECTRA E5 will adopt Buick's new PURE Design language, which was first shown on the Electra-X Concept, and multiple elements to reveal its BEV essence.

This new vehicle features the new-generation VCS intelligent cockpit, which includes the EYEMAX 30-inch curved 6K display and the latest iteration of Buick's eConnect smart connectivity technology. It also supports over-the-air (OTA) updates for multiple vehicle modules simultaneously.

Furthermore, the Buick ELECTRA E5 is equipped with Buick's self-developed 8-in-1 electric drive system, the BEV HEAT dual-heat-source thermal management system, and an industry-first wireless battery management system.
