Notably, the 6-in-1 controller integrates the entire bus ecosystem, enhancing reliability, operational proficiency, and energy efficiency, said BYD. The BYD battery thermal management system ensures optimal battery performance in various climate conditions. Moreover, the BYD-Castrosua eBuses employ iron-phosphate battery technology, which has excelled in rigorous safety tests.
The BYD-Castrosua 12-meter eBus can accommodate up to 92 passengers, making it an ideal choice for city bus services. Equipped with a 422 kWh battery capacity, it offers a range of over 450 km on a single charge.
BYD and Castrosua announced their joint manufacturing partnership in Sept. 2022, with the aim to deliver high-caliber and highly personalized 12-meter electric buses to the Spanish market.
The newly-unveiled BYD-Castrosua eBus will be exhibited at the UITP Summit 2023 in Barcelona. Soon, more completed BYD-Castrosua 12-meter eBuses will be rolled out into urban electric fleets, driving local transition towards sustainable transportation.
