Geely is working on a four-cylinder 1.3 turbo for the Emgrand EC7, the engine will be launched just before the end of this year. Output is 131hp and 186nm, transmission is a five-speed manual.

The Geely Emgrand EC7 is currently available with a 109hp 1.5 and a 139hp 1.8. The 1.3 turbo is an addition to the line-up and will not immediately replace the 1.8. Geely will keep the old engine around because many Chinese car buyers, especially of the older generations, like big engines better.

Price of the Emgrand EC7 starts at 71.800 yuan and ends at 113.800 yuan. Price for the 1.3 turbo will start around 100.000 yuan.
