ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle (EV) brand of Geely Auto Group, saw its monthly registrations reach 6,331 units in the third month of 2023, according to the data compiled by ZXZC Auto Research Institute ("GARI").

ZEEKR’s monthly registrations in Mar. 2023 soared 178.53% compared to the previous year, while also jumped 24.41% from the previous month.

For the first quarter of this year, ZEEKR’s cumulative auto registrations amounted to 15,362 units, surging 85.26% from a year earlier.

ZEEKR currently has two production models available for delivery. With 4,128 units registered, the ZEEKR 001 accounted for 65.2% of the brand’s total registrations in Mar. 2023. It represented a year-on-year spike of 81.6% in Mar. registrations, but reflecting a month-on-month decrease of 9.1%.

In terms of Mar. registrations of the ZEEKR 001, Hangzhou ranked the highest among all cities on the Chinese mainland. It was followed by Shanghai and Shenzhen, which were the other two cities with over 200 ZEEKR 001s registered last month.

As of Mar. 2023, there had been 89,415 ZEEKR 001s registered cumulatively across the world’s largest auto market.

In Mar., the automaker had 2,203 ZEEKR 009s registered, indicating a 302.7% hike month-over-month. Cumulative registrations of the MPV model came in at 2,940 units.

Notably, among all domestically built new energy MPV models in China, the ZEEKR 009 was the runner-up by Mar. registrations, only falling behind the Denza D9.

Hangzhou still outperformed other cities in China with 284 ZEEKR 009s registered last month. Shanghai and Guangzhou ranked second and third, respectively.
