NIO's power swap service covers entirety of G3 Expressway in China

Beijing (ZXZC)- On April 23, Chinese new energy vehicle startup NIO announced that its battery swap service reach now fully covers the G3 Beijing-Taipei Expressway, totaling 2,030km.

The G3 Expressway is a major traffic artery connecting North China, East China, and Southeast China. With a total length of 2,030 km so far, it runs through Beijing, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Fujian, and Taiwan. It is also an important traffic artery connecting China's eastern coastal areas.

As of April 23, 2023, a total of 21 NIO Power battery swap stations have been laid out along the G3 Expressway, with one station in every 112 km on average. 

Up to now, the NIO Power battery swap network has got through a total of 5 highways radiated from Beijing, including the G1 Beijing-Harbin Expressway, the G2 Beijing-Shanghai Expressway, the G3 Beijing-Taipei Expressway, the G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, and the G5 Beijing-Kunming Expressway.

Three years ago, NIO released the Power Up Plan, which aims to improve users' power charging experience for road trips, deploy charging and battery swapping facilities in popular destinations of tourism, business, leisure, and other scenarios in China, and form a convenient and flexible charging and battery swap network covering the whole country. After years of layout, 52 destination power routes have been completed so far.
