Spy Shots: Volkswagen Lavida Sport for the China car market
Spy shots showing the upcoming Volkswagen Lavida Sport, a sporty variant of the China-only Volkswagen Lavida sedan. The Lavida Sport will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in December and it will hit the China car market in early 2014. Sport stands for different bumpers, a different grille, and different alloys.
The base Volkswagen Lavida, made in China by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture. Price starts at 112.900 yuan and ends at 166.900 yuan. Two engines: a 130hp 1.4 TSI turbo or a 104hp 1.6. The 120hp 2.0 has been cancelled. Transmissions: 5-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic or a 7-speed DSG. The Lavida Sport will only be available with the 1.4 TSI, which sadly won’t get a single horse more.
The Lavida Sport is the fourth variant of the Lavida range, after the sedan, the Gran Lavida, and the upcoming Cross Lavida.
Rear bumper now loox like a rear bumper with a fake diffuser. Which it is.
A miniscule rear wing. How Sport is that?
