The Cadillac CTS will be imported into China first, but local production in GM’s new Chinese Cadillac factory will happen within the next few years.

The China-bound CTS will be available with three engines: 2.0 turbo with 276hp, 3.6 V6 with 325hp, and with the new twin-turbo 3.6 V6 with 410 horses. The Cadillac CTS will try to compete with the Audi A6L, the BMW 5Li, and the Mercedes-Benz E Class L. All these vehicles however are made in China and are thus cheaper that the CTS will be. Serious competition can only start with a locally made CTS.
