Shanghai (ZXZC)- On May 15, NIO officially launched its second brand, ONVO. Meanwhile, the first model under the new brand, the ONVO L60, made its debut, with the presale price (219,900 yuan) announced as well. The new model is scheduled to hit the market and be delivered in September this year.

The name ONVO conveys the concept of a "joyful family and wise management," with its logo depicting an upward path symbolizing a life of continuous improvement and happiness. The introduction of ONVO targets a broader customer base, focusing on mass-market families.

The ONVO L60, designed by former Bentley designer Raul Pires, follows a design philosophy dubbed 'WAY UP,' which is particularly suited for family usage and suggests a positive life outlook. The vehicle features a distinctive front with a closed grille and a large, trapezoidal air intake, framed by C-shaped channels that create a bold visual impact. Its split front light assembly includes L-shaped daytime running lights and integrated high and low beam lights in a sleek, futuristic design. Additionally, raised lines on the hood contribute to the vehicle's robust appearance.

From the side, the ONVO L60 sports a dynamic look with short overhangs, a coupé-style roofline, pronounced wheel arches, and a low visual center of gravity. Features like petal-shaped low-drag wheels and hidden door handles contribute to an aerodynamic coefficient of 0.229 Cd.

Positioned as a mid-sized SUV, the new model measures 4,828mm long, 1,930mm wide, 1,616mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,950mm.

The rear design includes an upturned ducktail spoiler that adds to the performance aesthetic. The taillights feature an elongated design rather than the popular full-width style, and are set above an embedded trapezoidal license plate area, with a black bumper enhancing the layered look. The liftback tailgate opens widely, facilitating easy loading, and the trunk accommodates luggage for a family of five.

The new SUV model uses a MacPherson strut front suspension and a five-link rear independent suspension with FSD variable damping. It boasts a turning diameter of only 10.8 meters. In terms of smart driving, the ONVO L60 offers a ready-to-use pure-vision intelligent driving solution upon delivery, featuring a suite of 30 high-performance sensors, including a 4D imaging millimeter-wave radar with a maximum detection range of 370 meters and seven 8-million-pixel high-definition cameras with a maximum forward detection range of 687 meters, along with four starlight 360-degree cameras that can provide clear visibility even in low light conditions of 12 lux.

Inside, the ONVO L60 features a wraparound comfort space design with a 17.2-inch 3K retina-level central control screen that uses the DCI-P3 color standard and displays over 1.07 billion colors. The screen has a peak brightness of over 12,000 nits and is anti-reflective, anti-fingerprint, and anti-glare. The minimalist dashboard enhances both functionality and comfort. The vehicle also features a cabin-wide light waterfall ambient lighting and a 13-inch HUD.
