Lifan 530 launched on the Shanghai Auto Show
The new Lifan 530, which we met in an alley earlier this week, has been launched on the Shanghai Auto Show. The Lifan 530, formerly known as the ‘new Lifan 520‘, is the successor of the old Lifan 520. The Lifan 530 will be launched on the Chinese car market in June.
Price will range from 50.000 to 70.000 yuan. There will be two engines: a 93hp 1.3 and a 102hp 1.5, both mated to a five-speed manual. Size: 4300/1690/1490, wheelbase is 2550. Strangely, the supposedly outgoing Lifan 520 was present on the show as well, indicating production will continue at least for a while, alongside the new 530.
Design of the 530 is very much inspired by the outgoing Toyota Vios. Lifan changed the front and back a bit and got a new car. Toyota however moves ahead fast and just launched a new Vios. Lifan’s designers got to start all over again…
Well, the grille is more impressive than anything Toyota ever did with the Vios.
