XPeng began the construction of the Guangzhou plant in Sept. 2022 and obtained the complete vehicle production permit from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in late Dec. 2022.

The Guangzhou plant will focus on producing the models including the XPeng G9 flagship SUV.

XPeng currently has four models available for sale, namely, the G3i, the P5, the P7, and G9. Riding on the company’s all-new platform, the XPeng G9 hit the market on Sept. 21, 2022 with its six trim levels priced between 309,900 yuan ($45,150) and 469,900 yuan ($68,460).

The XPeng G3is, the P5s, and the P7s are being manufactured at XPeng’s Zhaoqing plant. Notably, the G3 SUVs were previously produced at Haima Automobile’s Zhengzhou factory before the contract manufacturing deal expired.
