In the first month of 2023, there were 18,045 Wuling Hongguang MINIEVs registered across the Chinese mainland, representing a 39.06% year-on-year decline and a 46.01% month-on-month plunge, according to the data compiled by ZXZC Auto Research Institute ("GARI").

Regarding the Jan. 2023 registration volume, the Hongguang MINIEV was credited the runner-up among all China-made new energy vehicle (NEV) models registered on the Chinese mainland. The best-seller was the BYD Song PLUS DM-i, which outnumbered the SGMW (SAIC-GM-Wuling)-owned model by 8,418 units.

By the end of Jan. 2023, the cumulative registrations of the Hongguang MINIEV added up to 934,169 units.

Regarding regional distribution in Jan. 2023, Liuzhou, one of the model's production bases, still registered the most Hongguang MINIEVs. It was immediately followed by Wuhan, whose monthly registrations of the popular model stood at 418 units last month.

Notably, the cities ranking 3rd to 7th by the Jan. registrations of the Hongguang MINIEV were all from Henan province.
