Chang’an Ouliwei hits the Chinese auto market
The new Chang’an Ouliwei mini-MPV has been launched on the Chinese auto market. Price starts at 47.900 yuan and ends at 49.900 yuan. The production version of the Ouliwei debuted in December last year on the Guangzhou Auto Show. The Ouliwei is designed for young first-car-buyers who are looking for something a bit more funky than a low-price sedan.
Power comes from a 1.2 liter four-cylinder ‘E-Power E12’ with 72hp and 117nm, mated to a 5-speed manual. A 1.4 liter engine and an automatic gearbox will be launched later this year. The automatic would be especially welcome, especially for first-car buyers who are often very scared of a stick. Earlier on we heard about a 1.3 but that engine is now definitely off the table.
Size: 3700/1680/1550, wheelbase is 2450. Weight is 1095 kg.
The Ouliwei is also destined for export to Europe but when it will arrive on the Old Continent is yet unclear. Chang’an has postponed its invasion plans due to the continuing economic crisis. When things improve Chang’an will be there soon, armed to the max with the Ouliwei, the Chang’an Eado XT and the Chang’an Reaton.
Dash is funky too with huge white panels and a shiny ‘piano-black’ center console.
The miniscule 1.2 liter engine.
finally some other colors; blue, white and gray.
We end this story with a pretty little lady. “Knock knock, I washed my face this morning.”
She is really good at folding seats.
