Shanghai (ZXZC)- Geely currently owns a total of 17 models available for sale in market including 8 SUV models and 9 sedan models. The automaker is going to roll out four all-new models in 2019, namely, the Geely Jiaji, the FY11, the GE11 and SX12. Particularly, the launching of Jiaji will supplement the company's product layout in MPV sector.

In addition, the automaker plans to release nearly 10 refreshed models and NEV versions of such models as the Binyue, the Binrui and the Emgrand GL, aiming to fulfill the sales target of 1.51 million vehicles this year.

As Geely's first MPV model, the Geely Jiaji is expected to go on sale in February to rival such models as the BYD Song MAX and the Buick GL6 after officially hitting the markets.

The Jiaji MPV measures 4,706mm in length, 1,909mm in width and 1,690mm in height, with a wheelbase length of 2,805mm. It will be available in choices of five-, six- or seven-seater options.

There are three variants of powertrain under the bonnet. The first is a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine assisted by a 48-volt mild hybrid system producing a combined output of 140kW and peak torque of 300 N·m, hooked up to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The second is a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine-included plug-in hybrid power system that pumps out 188kW and top peak of 385 N·m, mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The third is a 1.8-litre turbocharged engine that churns out a maximum power of 135kW and peak torque of 300 N·m, paired with a 6-speed automatic manual transmission.

The front face design cues on the three-row MPV include the Geely's signature “cosmos” intake grille coupled with a V-shaped chrome trim, LED headlamps with a four-bar LED arc array for daytime running lights and LED fog lights. The side profile features waistlines stretching from the wheel eyebrow to the rear end and the sooty C-pillar. The model also has a ‘floating’ roof which tapers down to meet a small-sized tailgate-mounted spoiler. A chrome trim strip—with Geely lettering—bridegs the taillight clusters.

Drivers will also find a panoramic wrap-around cockpit, a multifunctional steering wheel and a 7-inch liquid crystal instrumental panel inside the vehicle. Other niceties include a 12.3-inch multimedia display at the center console and an electronic gear lever under the outlet of air conditioner.

GE11

As the automaker's first BEV model targeting global market, the GE11 compact sedan will hit the market in the first quarter of the year.

According to the published photos, the GE11 adopts a trendy closed-off grille, which is typically used for all-electric models. Both high beam and dipped headlights are integrated into headlamps. The sleek LED daytime running lights coupled with three paralleled light bars look quite futuristic. Besides, on the hood is a protruding U-shaped line that is able to lower the air resistance by directing air to both sides of the vehicle body, therefore elevate the battery range.

As to the side profile, the GE11 features a fastback design. The smooth waistline stretches from the headlight, door handle to the rear end, visually lengthening the entire body. The new model adopts the “hidden” door handles, which is in tune with the “futuristic” essence of the vehicle.

Moving to the rear end, the GE11 retains the fastback design of coupe with a cleaner look. The ducktail spoiler at the trunk improves the sports sense. In addition, a chrome trim with the “GEELY” lettering in the middle connects taillights on both sides.

The vehicle reportedly measures 4,736mm long, 1,804mm width and 1,503mm tall with a wheelbase length of 2,700mm. Powering the GE11 will be a 130kW electric motor provided by CATL.

FY11

The FY11 is Geely's first coupe SUV model that will reportedly be launched into market in the second quarter.

From the photo exposed before, the FY11 draws a lot of inspiration from existing coupe SUVs. Adopting Geely's signature “cosmos” grille, the front face features a sense of masculinity, which is characterized by several chrome trims. The bumper shares the same color of the vehicle body, which creates a more sporty sense by lowering the visual center of gravity.

The fastback design is the biggest highlight as to the side profile. The black window frame, the silver high-shine side skirt and the red caliper all elevate the sports essence for the vehicle. Moving to the rear end, the sports nature is also underlined by a chrome trim that connects taillights and the exhaust layout with dual stacks of pipes on each side.

On the inside, the new model gets red-black seats, a flat bottomed multifunctional steering wheel and a large-sized irregular display at the center console that is linked to the dashboard. There is an armrest located on the left side of the passenger seat. Besides, carbon fiber wrinkles can be found at such places as the center console, the armrest of passenger seat and the edges of air conditioner.

Under the hood, the FY11 coupe SUV is powered by a Volvo-developed 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 238hp (175kW), meeting the China's Stage 6 Emission Standard.

SX12

A Chinese social platform exposed a series of spy shots of a Geely's all-new SUV model code-named SX12. The new SUV to be positioned as a mid-sized SUV will be manufactured based on Geely's latest BMA platform.

From the spy shots, the new model displays a striking resemblance to the CONCEPT ICON, which was unveiled at the Auto China 2018 in April, while carries a panoramic sunroof and a brand-new five-spoke rims.

As to the interior, the all-new SUV model is outfitted with a multifunctional three-spoke flat bottomed steering wheel that fits the vehicle's sports theme. The design of the dashboard and the display at the center console is quite rare. A full liquid crystal dashboard is expected to be installed in the new vehicle. Besides, we could also notice that the SX12 SUV uses an electronic gear lever.

The BMA on which the new SUV based stands for B-segment Modular Architecture. The "B-segment" literally refers to a model classification under European standards, while the platform actually covers quite a few segments of different model types including the SUV, sedan, crossover, wagon and MPV ranging from small size to compact size.

Geely previously said the BMA-based models will feature larger passenger room, richer active and passive safety facilities as well as more diversified powertrains which contain various engine options such as 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre direct injection turbocharged engine and 1.4-litre turbocharged engine.
